We currently have an open position for an individual to join our Insurance Claims & Loss Litigation Team as an Associate
If interested, we offer a CPAO pre-approved program and experience that will take you on a CPA path that is unique to the traditional accounting position. You will be doing work that has a forensic accounting angle to it. No file will be the same, and no day will be the same!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Effectively communicating with insurance adjusters, claimants, and lawyers
· Gathering and reviewing financial information to support loss claims
· Accurately preparing loss quantification calculations
· Preparing detailed written reports for adjusters and lawyers
· Conducting research and collecting statistics from applicable sources
· Applying current accounting knowledge where necessary
· Setting priorities in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum college level accounting program
· Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
· Exceptional written and oral communication and time management skills
· Proficient in MS Office (specifically Excel)
· The ability to be a responsible team member who works for the benefit of their team
· Experience preparing financial statements and personal income tax returns is an asset
· French speaking is an asset
COMPENSATION:
Our competitive compensation package, including GRSP matching, great benefits, and professional development and training is designed to reward success.
SALARY RANGE: $50-60K
The starting salary for this position will be based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience. Applicants with relevant industry experience or demonstrated transferable skills may be considered for a higher starting salary within the established salary range.
